St. Patrick (born 17 March)

Perhaps the best known of all of the Celtic Saints, Patrick arrived in Ireland, first as a slave, and then as a missionary.  He is credited as the first person to bring the good news to the Irish people.

Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland.
